DIGIPILOT provides Optimum use of Rudder

There have been major improvements in automated  heading and steering control systems technology. An integrated Navigation and Command System can achieve significant fuel savings (1 to 3%) by simply reducing the  distance sailed “off track”. The better course control  through less frequent and smaller corrections will minimize  losses due to rudder resistance.

It also reduces maintenance cost on the rudder/helm system. Retrofitting of a more efficient autopilot (like DIGIPILOT) to existing ships has a high pay-off. During approaches to ports and pilot stations, a standard autopilot cannot always be used efficiently as the rudder has to respond quickly to given commands. Also, during some legs of the voyage it may have to be de-activated or very carefully adjusted, i.e. heavy weather and approaches to ports. DIGIPILOT works in all weather conditions including heavy sea states.

DIGIPLOT provides AUTOMATIC Plotting Displayed on a Radar PPI

advanced automated navigation technology The Concordia accident will influence maritime safety rules and  regulations. This could result in the acceleration of the  mandated schedule by ship classes of e-chart use with the “Holy Grail single e-chart displays” as Maneuvering Aids. DIGIPLOT solves this need. The benefit will be “hands off” ARPA plots displayed on ECDIS e-charts for avoiding running aground while making small “bold and early” anti-collision course changes.

DIGIPLOT offers IMO standard compliant 40 target fully automatic DIGIPLOT ARPA on e-chart with dual bridge repeater displays with differential course command at slow selectable fuel saving turn rate. Learn more about » DIGIPLOT
